As a designer at BLK DNM, I had the honor of outfitting Jay-Z a few times.

What started as an obsession over the black waxed denim we designed and featured in his ‘Picasso Baby’ video grew into something even bigger.

When Jay’s stylist got word of our collab with Icelandic artist Gardar Einarsson, it opened a whole new chapter. Our ‘In the Dust of this Planet’ leather jacket made its debut in the iconic short film ‘Run’ sitting shotgun with Beyoncé. 

For the worldwide ‘On the Run’ tour, HOV was even more involved in the creative process—from selecting prints and colors to choosing the perfect lambskin.

Super proud to have played a small part in something this iconic.
